Free to play Border Break, is coming to PlayStation 4. Sega announced this at the Border Break Presentation in Japan recently. The 2009 robot action arcade game by Sega will launch in Japan in 2018. The game will be a free to play download with item based micro transactions. There will also be a physical copy with even more bonuses to be released as well. For those who want to check it out, there is an open beta version in February. The best part is, you don’t even need to have a PlayStation Plus to try it out.
Border Break will have 10vs10 fast robot battles using different maps. You can also customize your battle robot. For controls, you can use the PS4 Dual Shock controller and mouse.
There are 4 type of weapons you can choose. Assault, Heavy Fire, Raid and Support weapons. For me, it’s either Heavy Fire or Support cause I like to spray or repair. “Why kill when you can heal”
There 4 type of game modes as well. You have Story mode. Beginner match which is you versus the CPU fights. Casual match which is you fight against another player but without ranking involved. Ranked match is of course the same as casual match but with ranking involved.
I have to say that the theme song by composer Hiroyuki Sawano is pretty catchy and the singer has a great voice. Check out the trailer here.
