I tend to hold a healthy skepticism when it comes to movies based off video games. Anyone still remember the Assassin’s Creed movie that came out in 2016? Well, it seems like there is a Monster Hunter movie confirmed plus chop on its way.
Constantin Film’s Monster Hunter is going into production starting in September. Constantin will be teaming up with its Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich, director Paul W.S Anderson and Producer Jeremy Bolt. Okay la, she wasn’t so bad in the Resident Evil movies.
The film will have a budget of around $60 million and will be shot around Cape Town in South Africa. Constantin will partner on Monster Hunter with a “big company” in Japan and another in China. One can only hope that the company is Capcom. Scarly the movie turn out weird only.
Will we get to see Milla Jovovich run around, leaping on a Rathalos’ back to bring it to the ground? I do hope so. Got to teach that pink flying bird who’s boss what.
Check out the test footage of the film last year.
