So to help all of you gamers out there, we are going to take a look at some of the gaming chair options (some of which are local) that can take your aches away.
Secret Lab
Secret Lab has a total of four product lines: The THRONE, the OMEGA, the TITAN and the NAPA series.
The THRONE
The THRONE 2018 has been revamped to feature a sleeker design, offering greater adaptability for the workspace or home. It comes in three different colour options, from Spectre White, Flash Red and Rush Purple. It’s also the cheapest option out of Secret Lab’s product lines. Purchasing one costs S$500.
The OMEGA
Like the THRONE, the OMEGA 2018 has also introduced upgrades with superior manufacturing processes and improved materials, giving the OMEGA a new look. The OMEGA 2018 offers more colour choices, varying from Stealth, Classic, Amber, Royal and Ash. The OMEGA 2018 is the slightly pricier than the THRONE 2018, and will set you back S$620.
The TITAN
The TITAN is Secret Lab’s largest chair and screams comfort. Featuring an integrated adjustable lumbar support, your back will get the comfort it deserves. The TITAN offers four different colour choices, ranging from Ash, Amber, Tempo and Stealth. The second most expensive option, purchasing a TITAN costs S$700.
The NAPA
The NAPA is the most luxurious (and most expensive) chair that Secret Lab has to offer. Featuring premium Napa leather, the TITAN NAPA and the OMEGA NAPA retains all the features of their respective models but takes things to a new level with the change in leather. The TITAN NAPA comes in Navy Blue/Black Suede only while the OMEGA NAPA has an additional Wine Red/Cream colour option. The TITAN NAPA and the OMEGA NAPA costs S$1,399 and S$1,299 respectively.
DXRacer
Formula Series
The Formula Series is DXRacer’s cheapest prduct line. It has 3D adjustable arms, headrest and lumbar cushions together with a conventional tilt mechanism. The Formula Series comes with four colour choices, Black, Pink, Red and White. Each chair costs S$499.
Racing Series
The Racing Series comes in two versions, the RV001 and the RV131. Both feature 90° 4D adjustable arms, multi-functional mechanism and a headrest with lumbar cushions in full leather. The only difference between the two is that RV001 features a carbon look vinyl and PU while the RV131 features a leather style vinyl.
The RV001 has five colour options, Black, Blue, Purple, Red, White. On the other hand, the RV131 has four colour options, Blue, Orange, Red and Black. The RV001 costs S$499 while the RV131 costs S$559.
King Series
Much like the Racing Series, the King Series also features 90° 4D Adjustable Arms and multi-functional mechanism. However, the King Series’ headrest and lumbar cushion is in full PU. The King Series comes in three different colours, Black, Red, Blue and cost S$669 each.
Tank Series
The most expensive option from DXRacer, the Tank Series features 4D adjustable arms, multi-functional mechanism and a wide aluminum base. It has full PU cover alonside a headrest and lumbar cushions in full leather. Compared to the Racing Series, the Tank Series is also larger, with the armrest height, base diameter, seat cushion thickness increased by 20% and the wheel diameter increased by 30%.
The Tank Series also comes in two different colours, Black and Red and cost S$789 each.
AKRacing
Elite Series
AKRacing’s Elite Series comes in two variations. The Elites Series X2 and the Elites Series X1. The only difference between the two is a different look as well as a 3D adjustable armrest on the Elite Series X1 while a 4D adjustable armrest on the Elite Series X2. The Elite Series X1 has three colours, White, Black and Brown while the Elite Series X2 comes in White, Grey, Black. Each Elite Series chair costs S$499.
K7012 Series
The K7012 Series features breathable fabric upholstery for cool comfort. It has fabric chair as its cover material and a 4D adjustable armrest. The K7012 comes in three colours, Black, Red and Blue. Each chair costs S$349.
Octane Series
The Octane Series features high-quality PU leather with a stripe design. It has a rocking function alongside a 4D adjustable armest. The Octane Series comes in six different colours, Black, Blue, White, Orange, Green and Red. Each chair costs S$369.
Onyx Series
The Onyx Series is the first luxurious real leather chair from AKRacing. It has a leather cover on both the front and back. It has a frame with cold-cured foam. There is also a mechanism with lockable tilt positions. The Onyx Series comes in one colour and costs S$699.
Overture Series
The Overture Series blends modern-futuristic design and smooth curves. The chair features a rocking function, backrest adjustment and 4D adjustable armest. The Overture Series comes in seven different colours, Red, White, Orange, Purple, Green, Yellow and Blue. Each Overture chair costs S$409.
Premium Series
The Premium Series features height and backrest adjustment, as well as a rocking function. Made from high-quality materials, the seat has cold mloding foam that doesn’t subdue after long hours of gaming. The Premium Series comes in four different colours, Black, Red, Brown, White. Each chair costs S$499.
A Piece of Lifestyle (APOL)
Classic Series
APOL’s Classic series is made of PU leather, with a 4D widening Soft surface armrest. It’s made out of high density foam and has a multi-functional tilt mechanism for additional comfort. The Classic Series only has one colour and costs S$268, relatively cheap for a gaming chair.
Novizio Series
APOL’s Novizio Series has multiple different types of chairs. There’s the 618, D017, Extreme, J1710, J1711 and Novizio v2. Each chair has slightly different features that make them unique from each other.
618
Made out of PVC leather with a 2D Soft surface and high density foam. The chair comes in three different colours, Green, Red and White. The 618 costs S$158
D017
The D017 is made out of PVC leather with a 2D widening soft surface armrest. It has a full tilt mechanism as well as being made out of high density foam. It comes in Red and White. The D017 costs S$158.
Extreme
The Extreme is made out of PVC leather with a 3D soft surface armest. It’s made out of high density foam and features a full tilt mechanism. The Extreme comes in Blue, Red and White. Each chair costs S$168.
J1710
The J1710 is made out of PU leather. It has a 2D widening soft surface and is made out of high density foam. There is also a full tilt mechanism and the J1710 only comes in Red colour. The J1710 costs S$198.
J1711
The J1711 is made out of PU leather. It has a 2D widening soft surface and is made out of high density foam. Unlike the J1710, the J1711 features a 6 cm coloured millet caster. The J1711 only has a single Blue/White/Red colour and costs S$198.
Novizio V2
The Novizio V2 is made out of PVC leather and has a 3D soft surface armest. Made out of high density foam, it also has a full tilt mechanism. Its base is made out of 350 mm aluminum and its wheels are 5 cm PU caster. The Novizio V2 only has a single Black/White colour and costs S$148.
Wide Series
Apol’s Wide series features two chairs. The J1714 and Wolf Gaming Chair. The J1714 is made out of PU leather with a 2D widening soft surface armrest. Its made out of high density foam and has a full tilt mechanism. The J1714 also comes in two different colours, Red and White. The J1714 costs S$248.
On the other hand, the Wolf Gaming Chair is also made out PU leather but has a 3D soft surface. Its made out of high density foam and features a full tilt mechanism as well. The Wolf Gaming Chair comes in Red or White colours and costs S$228.
