This is the seventh part of our Singaporean streamer series and its time to get to know more of our local streamers. For this article, we have Melvallous, Pennyyeo, Jason “Axmilli” Ang and Tanzanight who have graciously been willing to be interviewed. What games can viewers expect to watch you play?

What got you into streaming?

I’ve always been known as an avid gamer / geek amongst my peers and family! I also love a good talk about anything gaming. I picked up World of Warcraft back in 2009, and being a dedicated PVE progression raider, I was already spending a lot of time raiding.

In July 2016, I was encouraged to try streaming and start sharing the content out there! I then started creating gaming content and sharing “Let’s Play” gaming series on YouTube. In conjunction with that, I also started my first ever stream on YouTube Gaming. The first game I streamed was WoW.

After some time, I decided to take a step back from progression raiding in WoW so I could stream casual games.
I also made the switch to Twitch in July 2017, streaming a variety of titles. Building a positive culture and community is everything to me, hence “Can Is Can” (Anything is possible) being our community slogan!
We’ve been very lucky to have gotten partnered on Twitch in February 2018, and it has been the exclusive platform I stream on ever since! ^_^

What games can viewers expect to watch you play?

I mainly stream Dota 2 and Fortnite. I used to stream only Dota 2 when I was a competitive player in Asterisk. As for now, I’m addicted to Fortnite! I’ll also play Overwatch once in awhile. I’ve been thinking of streaming horror games too so do let me know if there are any good recommendations.

What got you into streaming?

3 years ago, I was just a casual Dota 2 player and one of my friend introduced me to Twitch and encouraged me to try it out. So I thought why not? It seems more entertaining that I am able to interact with viewers and read their comments on my game play. Initially, I was very shy and awkward but slowly I started to open up and gained more confidence. Some of my viewers even became my friends IRL. After about almost a year of streaming, I could finally get a new desktop from all the donations I received from my viewers and I’m really very thankful for that. During a period of time, I’d stopped streaming regularly due to work. But recently I’ve been trying to stream more often and I feel so touched because some of my long-time viewers still visit my stream.

When can people expect to watch you stream?

I do not have a fixed schedule but I mostly stream late at night till about 2am or later. I’ll also post updates on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/pennyyeoo)

What was the funniest moment you had so far streaming?

There are a few hilarious moments that I can’t decide which is the funniest, but mostly it’s just me being a potato in Dota 2 e.g pressing bkb by accident, or dying in Fortnite due to fall damage. Recently I’ve also been trolled by one of my viewers, he baited me to say “Ligma balls” which it sounds like you know.. and I didn’t realised it till my friend told me.

What games can viewers expect to watch you play?

As a variety streamer I would say I stream many genres of games such as but not limiting to co-op shooters, RPGs, horror and party games. Puzzle platformers are still fine but never gonna play bullet hell kinda games haha.

What got you into streaming?

Many years ago when I was younger, my gaming buddies and I played many different games and did a lot of funny (maybe stupid) things in games, so I tried using Fraps to record and preserve these moments. One day, I realised that since we were gaming pretty much everyday and for long hours, so I wanted to share some of this nonsense with other people too!

When can people expect to watch you stream?

Hmm interesting. My schedule is as dynamic as weather of Singapore – you’ll never know when or what comes next. Just kidding, I aim to stream 3 times a week at least, starting from 8.30 pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and 10pm on Sundays (kind of late haha).

However, as I like to stream out of schedule as well so I would say the best way to catch me is to set notifications to ‘ON’ on Twitch and check out my Discord server!

What was the funniest moment you had so far streaming?

Funniest moment? Let me see. There was once I streamed IRL of my birthday celebration at my friend’s house while playing a board game about drawing called Telestrations, and it was so hilarious when we reviewed the pictures and guesses (I think the video is available on my channel for easier clarification) I had fun times talking to people over Discord while gaming as well. Hope to create more memorable times!

Tanzanight

What can viewers expect to watch when you are streaming?

I’ve been trying out various games, mainly Overwatch/Fortnite/Jackbox Party Pack 3, but some viewers have been telling me to play Realm Royale so I’ll be playing that too!

What got you into streaming?

A good friend of mine told me that I would find it fun, as I’m very talkative with the people I know and love playing games. I was a little undecided and only heeded the advice a year afterwards! Sharing and inspiring with fans and new artists.

When can people expect to watch you stream?

Around 3 pm in the afternoon, SG time 🙂 I don’t really have a streaming schedule so I update my viewers on discord daily.

What was the funniest moment you had so far streaming?

I had no idea who were the bad guys in Fortnite, and went around randomly hammering people with my hammer. Turns out that one of them really was a bad guy and I had to scream for help from my teammates as I ran away from him desperately clinging on to dear life. (I only had a hammer at that point of time, didn’t manage to find a gun)
