Fortnite’s Fall Skirmish has cooled off, but no worries. Epic Games has revisted the game’s tournament structure and Fortnite Winter Royale will be open for everyone to participate.
Hosted through Fortnite‘s in-game tournament system, the Winter Royale will consist of two stages, the qualifiers and the Finals. The entire event is solo, meaning players will be competing on their own. No team ups. Gotta git gud sia.
Just like in previous in-game tournaments, players will be thrown into lobbies and be granted points for things such as high finishes and eliminations. The players with the highest points at the end of the qualifiers will have a chance to compete in the Finals. Did I mention that the prize pool for the Finals of the Fortnite Winter Royale is a sweet $1 million? Swee la.
Sadly, it seems like Fortnite Winter Royale is only open to all those living in North America and Europe. Luckily, Epic has mentioned that it plans on creating other tournaments to facilitate other regions. Huat ah, can’t wait to fire up my com.
