Ok this is not too bad. The Uncharted movie has finally gotten a director after Shawn Levy( Real Steel and all of the Night of the Museum movies) left due to scheduling issues. So Dan Trachtenberg will be taking over directorial duties for the Uncharted movie.
Dan Trachtenberg who hasn’t really directed much movies except for an episode of Black Mirror and the sequel to Josh Abrams’ Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane. Lucky it was this movie he directed and not Cloverfield Paradox which was a piece of shit.
Now all this while, I was really rooting for Nathan Fillion to portray the iconic Nathan Drake(Both got the same first name some more) but unfortunately it looks like it is going to be Tom Holland aka Mr Spiderman(Current one) who will be Nathan Drake. Now don’t get me wrong, I think Tom Halland is a brilliant actor and all but it just doesn’t seem to fit the bill when it comes to sarcasm. Drake has tonnes of sarcasm and Fillion is a master of sarcastic one liners.

So far it doesn’t seem like the movie’s plot will follow the games but more as a prequel. I guess that’s why they needed a much younger looking Nathan Drake. Oh well, let’s hope Holland proves me wrong and does a portrayal of Drake.
Hopefully Dan Trachtenberg will be the final director and finally get the movie done cos there have been a few directors who have left the Uncharted movie project. One can only hope.
