Video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Koichi Watanabe, hereinafter referred to as “Cygames”) has announced that gamera has won the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR) tournament at GBVS Cygames Cup 2025. The event was held at Osanbashi Hall in Yokohama, Japan on January 18 and 19 (JST). Cygames has also announced the release date of GBVSR Version 2.00, slated for February 26.
On January 19 at Granblue Fantasy Versus Cygames Cup 2025, gamera and tatuma emerged as victors of the GBVSR and Guilty Gear -Strive- (GGST) tournaments, respectively. Cygames would like to congratulate the two competitors on their victories.
As the GBVSR champion, gamera has qualified for a spot at the Arc World Tour Finals 2024 to take place in Los Angeles, USA on March 22 and 23 (PT).
