Dead Space is now available on Windows PC for free! If you have an account for EA’s Origin, that is. The game is only free to download for a limited time, so better get it quick into your library before the promotion ends. And the best part is, once it is in your library, you can play the game as long as you have an existing account. You also don’t really need a state of the art computer to play this cause it’s a pretty old game. Power lah!
I remember playing Dead Space on Play Station 3 when it was first released in 2008 and this game is truly one of the best Sci Fi horror games for the last decade lah. I can’t recall the number of times I have screamed like a little girl. Even if you play it in the day also, it’s scary. From the start, the opening credits, you already know it’s gonna be damn chialat. And it has one of the best ending for a game as well.
You play a character called Isaac Clarke, who is a ship systems engineer. You have to fight your way through a spaceship called the USG Ishimura. Your crew is dead and their bodies will become these horrifying creatures called the Necromorphs. And you can’t just kill them with head shots. You have to tear them apart piece by piece. That’s pretty much the jist of it.
Dead Space was developed by EA Redwood Shores now known as Visceral Games. And one of the writers is none other than famed comic book writer, Warren Ellis. I really love his comics by the way. So don’t waste time and download this classic gem of a game!
