Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIES) announced that Stifled is available in Download edition on 24th April. Stifled will also include English, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Thai. The game costs S$26.90 and you can also enjoy playing the game with PlayStation VR.
So what’s Stifled about? Well it’s a Virtual Reality horror game with a unique twist. You are David Ridley and in this multi-award winning, Virtual Reality and Mic-enabled sound-based stealth thriller, sound is the only way you see and the enemies hear your fear. You have to create sound waves using things you find and using your voice as well to see the world around you. While you are doing that, you also need to avoid unnecessary noises that attract the attention of the grotesque and horrifying creatures lurking in the darkness. Yup, that does sound pretty scary to me and I am a complete pussy when it comes to horror based games so confirm can definitely expect a lot of screaming like a little girl coming from me. But still I am excited and proud of Stifled being released on PlayStation 4 because it is developed Gattai Games which is based in Singapore! Some more got backing of Games@PIXEL Studios (used to be known as Game Solution Centre), an initiative by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in conjunction with Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP). Steady lah!
“On behalf of SIES, we are excited on the global release of Stifled on PS4 which shows the result of our support towards game development in Singapore and how SIE could bring a locally made independent game to global audience. Gattai Games has done a great job in developing a game that fully utilizes PlayStation 4 and PS VR hardware technologies, especially in integrating with their innovative echolocation game mechanic.” – Hidetoshi Takigawa, Southeast Asia Regional Head of SIES
So if you love horror games, you should definitely get Stifled.
