I love the Dragon Age series. I’ve played every game and while they weren’t perfect, the series was still enjoyable to play. So if got news that the series is alive and got more Dragon Age action in, I’m si bei happy already. The new Dragon Age game has yet to be announced but it seems like it is in the works. The series’ creative director Mike Laidlaw mentioned on The 1099 podcast that “something is happening with Dragon Age“, hinting to the next game of the series.
Laidlaw confirmed that BioWare’s Dragon Age team is currently “hiring a lot of people”. This suggests that development on the game is still continuing. In addition, the project was apparently rebooted last year to “implement more ‘live’ elements”. Sounds quite promising sia.
However, progress on the game might be slow. After all, BioWare is working on Anthem, Bioware’s upcoming online multiplayer action role-playing game. Dragon Age executive producer Mark Darrah has announced on Twitter that he is serving as the executive producer for both the new Dragon Age and Anthem. At the same time, a majority of BioWare is now working on Anthem with smaller teams continuing on Dragon Age. Suay lor, BioWare wants to focus on Anthem, we also bo pain.
As for now, it seems like eager Dragon Age fans such as myself will have to wait. But at the very least, the series has yet to be cancelled. Perhaps there is still hope to play as the Grey Warden or Hawke again. Or macam even better, can see more Morrigan.
