S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is back. Swee lar! It was first announced in 2010. Then cancelled in 2012 when an agreement with the S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 rights holders couldn’t be reached. But finally, in 2018, it has been announced that GSC Game World is officially developing STALKER 2.
Sergiy Grygorovych, GSC boss left a small note on his Facebook page today.
Today 15.05.2018 I officially declare: “GSC GAME WORLD DEVELOPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2”
There is also a link to a website that contains the game name, a date (2021) and a contact detail.
It isn’t much to go on. There are no screenshots, video trailers or anything else hinting that the game is far into development. At the same time, even though GSC was the studio behind the first STALKER, many of the original developers have left to work on other titles such as Survarium. But okay la, at least some news better than no news right?
If the game releases in 2021, that means that we have another 3.5 years of waiting to go. That is in addition to the original release date in 2012. It looks like the return trip to Chernobyl will take some more time. Bo pian, just need to wait some more.
