In the email, Sony asked all Vita product code requests be submitted by 28th June, 2018. Final purchase orders entered by 15th February 2019. Sony’s 2018 fiscal years ends on 31st March 2019.
The PS Vita first launched in Japan in December 2011. However, the PS Vita has had tough competition with the rise of mobile gaming as well as the introduction of Nintendo 3DS. Rough life for the PS Vita sia. It seems like this is a step towards saying goodbye to the PS Vita forever. Not much longer left bah.
