Epic Games has yet to release further details but promises to release more information in the weeks ahead.
Epic Games’ monetary contribution is no small sum either. Valve contributed an estimated $38,000,000 (S$50,899,100) to competitors across 159 tournaments last year according to Esports Earnings. Epic Games’ decision to help out Fortnite‘s competitive scene is a good sign for players. Having the backing of the developer of the game would help the competitive scene to take off. Perhaps this could kick-start a positive new change in various games’ competitive scenes. Good job la Epic Games, setting a good example for other developers to follow.
