This past weekend, the JioPlayGame crew joined artists, cosplayers, musicians, and fans at the Anime Festival Asia Creators Super Fest 2025 (AFA CSF 2025), held at Suntec Singapore Convention Centre on 2nd and 3rd August. Though smaller than the main AFA event, this satellite festival packed a powerful punch with its focus on creativity, community, and hands-on interaction.
From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was brimming with positive energy. AFA CSF 2025 delivered an intimate yet vibrant space for creators and fans to meet, exchange ideas, and celebrate shared passions across cosplay, fashion, art, music, and indie games.
Spread across the Creators Hub, Cosplay Hub, and Fashion Hub, the festival spotlighted independent creators offering original art, crafts, fashion pieces, and cosplay merchandise. This was the perfect place to discover unique and meaningful gifts, ranging from adorable trinkets to cheeky, humorous items that reflected the personalities of their creators.
Highlights included seeing Weian Vann, a Chinese cosplayer known for dramatic, horror-infused portrayals, and Xiaoyu, a Singaporean cosplay icon with over 1.5 million followers. Their presence added flair and drew crowds eager to interact and snap photos.
On the Super Akiba Stage, we witnessed live performances by up and coming Japanese musicians and dancers, adding a dynamic rhythm to the event. Guest segments, cosplay competitions, and talk shows kept the energy high throughout the two-day run.
The Creators Lab was one of the most engaging parts for fellow artists and fans. It featured insightful panels, workshops, and live drawing sessions led by renowned illustrators and animators. These sessions offered interesting perspectives on the creative process, while also providing tips for budding artists looking to grow their craft.
One of the things we appreciated most was how the event encouraged interaction and dialogue. Whether through workshops, Q&As, or friendly conversations at booths, AFA CSF 2025 truly embodied its themes of CREATE, SHARE, and PLAY. It was delightful to witness passion and artistry coming together, and we left feeling inspired and connected.
