Imperator: Rome announced by Paradox Interactive during PDXCon 2018 sia. Held in Stockholm, PDXcon is the publisher’s annual fan expo. Paradox Interactive are the makers of strategy games such as Crusader Kings and Europe Universalis. Looks like there’s a new game coming our way sometime soon. Swee la.
In this new game, players will have the chance to reshape history, back to the time of Alexander the Great. That’s pretty far back sia. 356 BC to 323 BC.
Paradox Interactive statement:
Rule any nation on the most detailed Paradox map ever stretching from the Pillars of Hercules to the far reaches of of India, allowing you to build an empire to dwarf that of Alexander. Govern republics or monarchies, balancing the factions, and keeping the loyalty of your most capable generals.
During the expo, Paradox Interactive also released an announcement trailer. While there was no game-play being shown, there were a bunch of statues to look at. Okay la, they were nice looking statues.
There is no specific release date for Imperator: Rome but it is suggested that the game is due sometime next year. The official site allows you to sign up to be notified of more information.
