Madmind Studios has released a new trailer for Agony. You know, the creepy horror game about being stuck in hell? Heng ah, I learnt my lesson already. I’m watching this trailer in the afternoon when the sunlight is bright. Good thing too, because Madmind’s new trailer introduces “Agony Mode”.
This additional game mode allows players to test their ability to survive in procedurally generated rooms within hell itself. Separate from the story, Agony Mode allows players to compete against other players around the world with scores posted on an online leader board. Challenge other people in hell? Ho seh liao.
“The additional game mode will add procedurally generated chambers for the players to test their hellish surivival skills. In mysterious labyrinths made of human bones or frosted ice chambers players will face random quest and challenges. They might be tasked to collect ten figurines which are spread around the level. Despite the main story mode of the game the players can choose on the gender of their character and the game ends with the death of the players, calculating their score. To drive the challenge to a global level all scores will be displayed on a worldwide leader board.”
It looks like Madmind Studios is introducing some re-playability to Agony with this new mode. Always a welcome thing for gamers to prolong their play experience. Good job la Madmind.
Agony is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 29th May 2018.
