There will be a free weekend play for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands from 20th to 23rd September for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Players will have full access to the base game, along with Ghost War PvP and themed special PvE missions. If you wish to buy the game after the free weekend, you will have a choice of two new editions. The Year 2 Gold Edition and the Ultimate Edition.

Ubisoft just announced that there will be a free and exclusive crossover mission between Ton Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands and Rainbow Six Siege as part of Special Operation 2 which is the second major update of the second year of post-launch content for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. That means you will be able to team up with Valkyrie, Twitch and Caveira in this two-part crossover event available on all platforms from July 24th.
The Rainbow Six Siege themed content will be on Ghost Recon Wildlands main campaign and the Ghost War PvP mode. There will be 2 new Rainbow Six Siege inspired Ghost War PvP classes and a mission called Operation Archangel which is a 2 part PvE mission. You can play this solo or with up to four players in co op.
If you complete Operation Archangel before 14th August, you will get Caveira gloves. That means when used, you can do Caveira’s classic CQC move and unlock the positions of all the enemies nearby. You can also customize and equip your Ghosts with the Rainbow Six Siege Gear Pack. It has Caveira’s iconic Luison handgun, a fully customizable HK 416 assault rifle, a head-wrapped shemagh inspired by Valkyrie and a skull balaclava inspired by Twitch.

Special Operation will also have two new Ghost War PvP classes. Toxic and Surgeon. they are inspired by Smoke and Doc from Rainbow Six Siege. Toxic uses his drone to deploy a large cloud of toxic smoke, which allows you to trap the enemy team and create area denials. Surgeon uses his stim pistol to revive teammates from a distance, creating new opportunities to deploy support strategies at medium range. There will also be two new PvP maps called Factory and Checkpoint as well. There is a new spectate feature called Observer mode and Ghost mode.
Ghost War players will be able to get seven-day early access to the new classes, maps and Ghost mode with the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Year 2 Pass. For newcomers, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will be up to 67% off from 24th to 31st July.
