Steady lah, Henry Cavil of Superman and Mission Impossible: Fallout fame will be playing Geralt. The upcoming 8 episodes Witcher TV series from Netflix.
The Witcher is based on the fantasy books written by Andrzej Sapkowski, of which the games are also based as well. The good thing is that Sapkowski will involved in the TV series as a creative consultant.
There were quite a few notable actors who were either rumoured or would have been a pretty solid Geralt of Rivia. There were guys like Idris Elba, Mads Mikkelsen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau or even Travis Fimmel but it eventually went to Henry Cavill. According to a recent interview, Cavill is quite a big fan of the books and games and said that he would love to play the role. And now Netflix has officially said that Cavill will play Geralt.
OK lah, I really think Henry Cavill can pull off a Geralt. Fella got the body and definitely the looks for it also. And there better be some chest hair on that fab body of his ah. We don’t want to see a hairless Geralt. Some more the fella plays the game which is a bonus.
Witcher fans surely must be damn excited and all but have to wait until 2020 till the series will be out. The TV series will be developed by Lauren S. Hissrich who has worked on Daredevil and The Defenders.
