Recently Guard Crush Games and Lizardcube announced that they were developing Sega’s classic arcade beat ’em up game series, Streets of Rage 4. So far there hasn’t been much information about the game since the reveal trailer. Even though there is no release date has been confirmed as of now, they have just released a new trailer showing how the gameplay looks like.
The trailer, which you can watch below, has all the classic things you would expect in a Streets of Rage game. You have the classic 80s style synthesizer music, followed with hand-drawn visuals as Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding walk up and down beating up whoever’s in their way. The game sure does looks damn cool, with vibrant colors and smooth animations. You can recognize some of the bad guys from the trailer as well. Both Axel and Blaze fighting enemies and pile driving them does give me a huge wave of nostalgia. Even though there isn’t much details about the game, I do hope Yuzo Koshiro the original music composer comes back as well. Bare Knuckles which was what it was called then, was one of my fav Sega games. I am definitely getting this game when it releases.
