Legends of Runeterra (LoR) is barely a month old into the mobile soft launch in Singapore and Riot Games have announced that there will be a first ever official online tournament for Legends of Runeterra players right here in Singapore! How awesome is that? Together with Eliphant, the first edition of the online tournament series will be held this Saturday, 28th March 2020 at 10am GMT +8.
All you LoR fans can now put your strategies and skills to the test in a format that starts with a six round Swiss style tournament which means you will face fellow LoR gamers in a Best of Three series. After that, at the second phase, you will go against 7 other top players in Single Elimination matches. The total prize pool for the 64-player tournament is $100, with cash prizes of $60, $30 and $10 awarded to the first three places respectively. All participants must be 15 years or older and those under the age of 18 will require parental consent.
Besides the online tournament being held this Saturday, you and fellow LoR fans can look forward to four more tournaments in the coming weeks. Here are the dates.
- 4th April 2020
- 11th April 2020
- 2nd May 2020
