This weekend, the Jioplaygame team joined fellow enthusiasts at TableCon Quest 2025, Singapore’s biggest tabletop gaming event, held on 23rd and 24th August at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Returning for its second edition, the event tripled in size compared to its 2024 debut, with expanded hall space and activity zones that welcomed players of all ages and skill levels.
From casual board games to immersive role-playing sessions, TableCon Quest 2025 truly had something for everyone. Visitors could dive into miniature painting hosted by HammerHouse, discover indie games made in the region, buy rare trading cards, join in tabletop RPGs or beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. The Open Play Zone became a hub of spontaneous fun, where attendees brought their own games to share and challenge new friends.
The Exhibitor Zone featured names like Origame, Good Spirit Games, Takara Tomy, Starot, Ultraman Card Game, and more, while the Creator’s Zone and Indie Zone shone a spotlight on local talent, showcasing original designs and homegrown creativity. It was especially exciting to see Singaporean studios like Origame and Capital Gains Studio represented, with their titles being played and purchased by attendees throughout the weekend.
One of the biggest highlights was the Bushiroad Card Game Festival, held outside of Tokyo for the very first time. It drew large crowds who gathered for tournaments and demo sessions featuring favourites like Weiß Schwarz and Cardfight!! Vanguard. The festival atmosphere was electric, with interactive talk shows, audience prizes, and guest appearances by popular BanG Dream! voice actresses Yuka Nishio and Aina Aiba.
Beyond the games themselves, what stood out most was the sense of community and joy. The staff were warm and attentive, always ready to explain rules and keep games flowing smoothly. The attendees, from families with young children to seasoned hobbyists, created an inclusive environment where everyone felt encouraged to try new games.
While the merchant presence was modest compared to larger conventions, the stalls selling creative merchandise at the Marketplace provided a charming break between play sessions. Fun character goods and witty handmade items made for memorable souvenirs and gifts, aside from TCQ’s own exclusive merch goods.
TableCon Quest 2025 proved itself as more than just a convention: it was a shared celebration of analog gaming, creativity, and connection. Whether you were rolling dice, painting miniatures, trading cards, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, the event offered endless opportunities for fun and discovery. For the JioPlayGame crew, it was a reminder of why tabletop gaming remains such a powerful way to bring people together. We look forward to seeing how it continues to grow in the years ahead.
