The King’s Avatar <全职高手> is an anime that was released back in 2017. It’s also a great show that focuses on professional gaming. Backed by flashy action and great music, the anime is a must watch for any gaming enthusiast.
Based on the Chinese web serial novel of the same name, The King’s Avatar follows the story of Ye Xiu who is dubbed the “Battle God” and a top-tier professional player in the online multiplayer game Glory. The story begins with Ye Xiu’s forced retirement from his team. Forced to leave his gaming career behind, Ye Xiu finds work at a nearby internet cafe before launching himself back into Glory, using a new character named “Lord Grim”. I’m not going to reveal anymore information at the risk of spoiling things but the show focuses on Ye Xiu’s struggle as he climbs back to the pinnacle of Glory.
Currently, the first season of the anime has been completed with 12 episodes. There has also been an OVA release with three episodes detailing events that happen after the end of the first season. Season two of The King’s Avatar is slated to be released in July 2019 and you can bet that I will be watching it the moment it releases.
The anime is currently available on YouTube. Trust me ah, 100% worth watching one.
