Manga and anime fans, prepare to board the hype train liao. Bandai Namco announced Jump Force. Probably named after Shounen Jump, Jump Force brings a grand anime battle royale to our world.
The game is a 3D three versus three tage team fighting game. Think of all the previous Naruto fighting games such as Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and you’ll get a rough idea of what the game is like.
Based off the trailer, there is a mash up of characters from Shounen Jump such as Dragon Ball, Naruto and One Piece. The trailer begins with a ruined urban setting. Monkey D. Luffy, Naruto and Goku fighting against Frieza. Each character showed off signature moves of their own such as Luffy’s Gomu Gomu no Kong Organ.
At the end of the trailer, overlooking the fight is Death Note‘s Light Yagami and Ryuk. It seems that players will be able to anticipate other anime series and manga series joining the fray. Shiok sia. Maybe we will see The Seven Deadly Sins, or Boku no Hero Academia.
The game is set to be released sometime in 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
