A quick explanation. Denuvo is a company that specializes in anti-piracy technology. A part of their customers are game publishers and platforms as well as independent software vendors. That includes companies such as Square Enix, Doom and Crytek. In short, Denuvo are the guys that stop games for being pirated.
Well, until a Bulgarian hacker called Voksi changed the Denuvo cracking scene. But now, Voksi is in trouble. Posted on CrackWatch, it appears that Voksi was arrested yesterday and the police has raided his house. It seems that Voksi’s days of cracking games are over, the hacker stated on Reddit:
Sadly, I won’t be able to do what I did anymore, I did what I did for you guys and of course because bloated software in our games shouldn’t be allowed at all. Maybe someone else can continue my fight.
