In Genshin Impact, when you log in for the very first time, it feels like there is going to be a huge and fun adventure that lies ahead. The environment is beautiful, from the lush greenery to the wide hills and mountain.
GAMEPLAY
The battle system feels fluid and agile, and there never seems to be a single boring moment but sadly the whole entire game concept pretty much screams of 2017’s Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
From climbing up hills with a stamina gauge at the side of the character, to cooking and also the inventory works. And to be honest, waifu climbing up hills does not look elegant. Not one bit. Heck, they even copied the whole character drowning and gliding system from Zelda, not to mention the gathering of raw materials as well.
Teleportation is a good thing in this game to ease the traveling time. The way points were carefully added so that it doesn’t hinder with the highly immersive gameplay.
INVENTORY SYSTEM
The inventory feels cluttered and very messy the first time you open it. Perhaps they can give it a shot to rework the inventory system to make it feel more of a traditional MMO than taking an inspiration straight up from another game. It’ll be great if they can map certain healing items to use on-the-go rather then going in and out from the inventory.
QUEST
The quest design is friendly and easy to follow, it’s crucial and it eases a lot of player’s time in terms of what to do next.

Characters
All the characters are well designed and very intriguing. The UI looks clean and perhaps the design language can be adapted to other department as well.
MUSIC
The music is soothing, and very well composed. Perhaps some of the battle music really resonates too much with Zelda’s track. Other than that, everything from the music, sound design and character sounds are fantastic.
DUNGEONS
I haven’t got the experience for a full dungeon run, but the mini dungeon run feels normal. Just clearing up mobs to get rewards in a confined space. But the game lacks originality in terms of mini-bosses and normal enemies. Everything is just way too similar to Zelda’s monsters.
Plus points for having cats and dogs in the city though!!
All in all, I will definitely have a run at Genshin Impact when the game officially hits the shore. No doubt, it’s fun despite the lack of originality.
