Focus Home Interactive has released the Fear the Wolves E3 2018 trailer. The game is the upcoming battle royale first-person shooter from Vostok Games. Players will be placed in a radioactive wasteland. Populated by mutated wildlife and the organic spread of radiation, players face off against 99 other players to reach the extraction helicopter in the final zone.
Players have access to an arsenal of scavenged weaponry. The trailer demonstrated the fire-axe as well as a gun. There are abandoned weaponry scattered about the map but scavenging from air drops and caches will net the player more powerful gear.
The trailer featured wolves, the first revealed mutants of the game. They roam in packs and pick off stragglers. A danger to a player’s ammo supply and health, the wolves can pose to be a dangerous threat.
As time passes on the map, the radioactivity worsens. After a certain point, players will need to rely on finding gas masks and hazard suits to keep the poisonous air and radiation out. With these extra protection, players can then access areas which others cannot and find better loot.
Fear the Wolves is due for PC in 2018 and a later date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Early access to the game will launch this summer (June – September).
