Sony released Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding trailer out on the E3 2018 earlier and I think quite a number of Kojima fans might have gone apeshit. Me? No. I have no idea what is going on in that 8min trailer which I just saw. After watching the trailer, I thought I was high lah. Hahahaha.
The first thing you pretty much see is a baby’s butt, then the baby turns around and give you a thumbs up. That already got me weirded out. Then you will see the main fella who is Sam Bridges which I guess is who you will be playing as. Norman Reedus has the same haircut as he has on The Walking Dead TV series. Then you see Sam walking around in some really breath taking beautiful places. That was nice. Not so weird. Then he takes a shower and carries something that looks like a body and we are back to being weird again. More walking around. Fella loses some stuff, gets blisters on his feet and pulls a toe nail out. Eeew. Then it goes to a line that says, Give me your Hand in life. Sam is topless, looks at his hand with some shitty tattoo, then he gets goosebumps. He keeps still and you see HAND PRINTS on the floor. Yes Hand prints, not foot prints. So its either this thing has hands for feet or it is walking with his hands. I don’t know. Every where the hand prints go, plants start to grow. Just as Sam is about to take a photograph, Lea Seydoux appears, holds his hand and shhhs him. They hold their breath as Hand Thing( I’m calling it that now) goes close to them and walks away. Lea then sheds a tear and they look at the sky. The next scene you see Lea carrying a stupid looking umbrella, talks cock with Sam and says bye before her jacket turns to spikes. Yea.
Next scene looks like a flashback, I guess. Some guy is warning Sam about things out there that will eat him. Maybe it’s Hand Thing and friends, I don’t care at this point. Sam has an idea and straps a bag in front of him and it happens to be a freaking baby with an umbilical chord! WTF??? Then he switches on some flickering light shit which looks like a flower, with that he can see some dark shadows with long tails. Here’s the best part. He gets the baby to look at the shadows as well. Knn. As Sam creeps away from the shadows, he finally gets caught from more shadow like thing from the ground. You see the title after that. And if all that wasn’t weird enough, Lea Seydoux appears again and eats a maggot like thing as though it was like chocolate.

So there is still no release date for Death Stranding. No surprises there. Hopefully we will have more details about the game from Kojima himself sooner and not by the next E3.
