REMEDIUM: Sentinels Review
Time to rage with the machine by fending off plague mutants and chimeras, while navigating through a barren wasteland with REMEDIUM: Sentinels. Developed by Sobaka Studio and published by ESDigital Games, this action-shooter game is currently available for Early Access via Steam.
First announced at the Steam Next Fest February 2023, it is simply survival of the fittest set in a condemned wasteland, illustrated with REMEDIUM’s post-apocalyptic Renaissance graphics. Taking on the titular role of Sentinel, your protagonist is plunged deep into an area that has fallen prey to the Grey Plague. Not only are you tasked with salvaging mankind, the Sentinel has to battle infected humans who are now mutants eager to tear you apart. Armed with just a basic weapon at the start of REMEDIUM: Sentinels, gather various items to enhance your build and create new weapons along the journey. Starting off with Crossroads (currently available on the Demo version), the gameplay controls are kept to a minimum, while little memorisation is required in keeping up with its premise. After each completed mission, be rewarded with an upgrade and enhanced abilities that range from enhanced armour, to creative options in defeating your enemies.
While REMEDIUM: Sentinels is only available as a demo via Steam, get ahead of the line and get a taste of its gameplay ahead of its Early Access release on 28 February 2023. As part of their plan to make REMEDIUM: Sentinels a game with community-based input, look out for updates and get involved with the game as it undergoes continuous development.
