Monster Hunter: World coming to PC in 2018

Capcom has mentioned that they plan to release the PC version of Monster Hunter: World around the end of 2018. MHW producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto said they are working hard on it now.

While Capcom hasn’t really given much info on the release date which means there’s about an 8 month gap between the console and PC versions. Monster Hunter Twitter account tweeted that the game is being optimized for PC.

Tsujimoto also promised that the free updates to MHW will include new monsters and Capcom has also previously promised of new quests as free post release content.

Developed and published by Capcom, Monster Hunter World is the 5th title in the Monster Hunter franchise. MHW is played in an open world environment with a game play of an action RPG in a 3rd person view. You will play as a Hunter. Your role is to hunt down and either kill or catch huge monsters that roam around. You don’t really have any special powers or anything. But you do have a weapon which you can choose from 14 different types. This will help you with the type of combat moves and abilities. Now you can purchase some basic equipment using in game money but most of them are built by killing or trapping monsters, finishing quests or just stuff you find while exploring in the field.

Monster Hunter: World will also have a story mode through the quest system. In story mode, you will need to complete the Low Rank quests first. Then you will go through and complete the High Rank quests. This was not possible from the previous games so that’s a good thing. And according to the director, to complete the full story mode, it will take 40-50 hours. That’s a lot of time to slay monsters!

Check out the trailer.

Monster Hunter: World will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan 26th.
