FV X SEA Major is a part of the Capcom Pro Tour for Street Fighter V and Tekken World Tour for Tekken 7 pro circuits, with top internationals coming to join. This year we will also be seeing three mobile games from Garena sharing the stage with their own esports tournaments during the first day of the two-day event. Of these three games, Garena will be showcasing a new mobile game too!
Arena of Valor, Garena’s MOBA co-developed with Tencent will have a 1v1 challenge while Free Fire: Royal Rush, will have a 26 squad, 104 player tournament fighting for the RM12,00 (S$4,047) prize pool. Swee la.
What’s most curious is the last game which hasn’t been revealed as of yet. Garena described it as “a new mobile game, the latest release from a classic, 30 year old franchise”. eGG Network presenters Danelie and Faraz together with EVO Champion and top Street Fighter V player Xian will be demoing it for the first time. Sounds super hype sia.
Whatever the game is, it’s going to be revealed this weekend. FV X SEA Major will be held on 14 and 15 July at Battle Arena Malaysia, Jaya Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya. So do head down if you wish to see the new game in person.
Other games that will be included are Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Marvel VS Capcom Infinite, Dragon Ball Fighterz, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2, Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, Clash Royale, Injustice 2 and King of Fighters XIV. The event will also be broadcasted on Astro’s eGG Netowrk channel 808. If you’re interested in the new game, the preview will be revealed at 3.40 pm, 14 July.
