Turns out Devil May Cry 5 really was going to be announced at E3 2018. Capcom completed the Devil May Cry 5 reveal during Microsoft’s E3 press conference today. Oh boy, it looks damn good sia.
The game will be a “true” sequel to Devil May Cry 4 (2008). That’s right, we’re ignoring emo Dante. The trailer shows Nero returning as a protagonist. However, Nero seems to have lost his demon arm, the source of his power in Devil May Cry 4.
Currently, he’s searching through Red Grave City for answers, wielding a mechanical arm designed by Nico, a new sidekick. We see some Nero pull off some kickass moves ah, ripping through demons with some of the series’ signature weapons. Even got new gadgets like a grappling hook fist. Best news of all, game director Hideaki Isuno is also back in charge.
The end of the trailer was the most swee. And also a confirmation that Devil May Cry 5 takes place in the canon Devil May Cry universe. We here a happy cheer, alongside an older, grizzled looking Dante riding a motorbike. Can things get any more hyped?
Devil May Cry 5 is set for a spring 2019 release, for PC, PlayStation 4 and PC.
