Esports has been growing steadily over recent times. Considering esports’ inclusion into the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, it looks like the future of esports is booming. This marks a major milestone for gaming and now, Razer has been announced as the official esports partner of SEA Games 2019.
As the official esports partner, Razer will draw on its experience and expertise in esports to support the esports tournament at SEA Games 2019. This includes facilitating discussions between Philippine SEA Games Organising Committee (PhilSGOC) and various game publishers to select the games featured at the SEA Games esports tournament.
Over the past year, a Razer delegation led by co-founder Tan Min-Liang met with PhilSGOC and the Philippine Olympic Committee on several occasions to elevate sports to be a recognized medal event at the games. Shiok ah. Razer doing some good work.
