This is damn freaking sweet. Well it definitely put a smile on my face when I read that Capcom announced that they will be releasing Mega man 11 on PS4, PC, Xbox, and Switch in 2018. I used to love playing Mega man when I was a kid. I remember I even had like a blue cardboard wrapped on right hand and going “Pew Pew Pew!” around the house. There was one “Pew” too many and I broke a vase. Naturally I kenna “one tight slap” from my mother and my Mega man days were over.
After watching the trailer, I got to say, it does look pretty awesome. Instead of the old school 8 bit style of the older Mega man games, Capcom went with 3D sprites on a 2D plane departing from the pixel art-based approach from previous games in the series and to me it looks pretty good. . Mega man 11 is directed by Koji Oda( Resident Evil 0/Bio hazard 0 HD remaster and Strider) and produced by Kazuhiro Tsuchiya( Asura’s Wrath and Mega man legacy collections 2).
So when the time comes, will I be putting on a blue cardboard on my arm and going “Pew Pew Pew”? No. I’ll just be buying the game on PS4 and playing it. Cos the last thing I want is my wife giving me a “one tight slap” as well.
For Nintendo Switch users, if you guys are Mega man fans, the Mega man Legacy Collections 1 and 2 along with Mega man X collection will be coming to Switch soon.
