Grand Theft Auto 6 will not be coming out in 2019 clarifies Rockstar. This is despite the pop-ups that Grand Theft Auto Online players have been seeing in the game.
The pop-up mentions in a purported “Rockstar Message” that “GTA VI” is “coming 2019” and has been reported by numerous players on Reddit and the GTA Online support forums. Many of the reports mention seeing multiple message pop-ups within a few minutes of each other.
So far, the general consensus on Reddit seems to be that the pop-up is a result of a hacker. Okay la, makes sense. Rockstar also said on Twitter that the pop-up is a “hoax” that originated from a mod. They also made it clear that the pop-up is “not an official message or statement from Rockstar Games”.
It makes sense if we found out that GTA 6 was in development. But then coming out next year? No way la hor? Beware of random hoaxs out there.
