Remember that anime fighting game that was shown during E3? Yeah, its got a new trailer again. The Jump Force new trailer teases more characters who are joining the fight.
This new trailer teases Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note. Unfortunately, according to Bandai Namco PR manager Nick O’Leary, Light will not be a playable character. After all, Light’s notebook writing skills does make him a weird character choice for a brawler game. Sad sia, No more instant kill move.
However, the Death Note characters aren’t just being paraded around for show. While they may not be playable, Light and Ryuk will still play a role in the game’s story. On the other hand, there are six confirmed characters so far. Goku and Frieza from Dragon Ball, Naruto and Sasuke from Naruto, and Luffy and Zoro from One Piece.
I guess only time will tell if more characters from other Shounen Jump mangas/animes will make it to the game. Personally, I’m holding out for Gintama and Boku no Hero Academia.
