Spike Chunsoft has announced that there will be a mid- year release for the PS4 version of Fire Pro Wrestling World together with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The game was released on Steam Early Access on 11th July 2017 and the full release for PC was on 18th December 2017. Fore Pro Wrestling is also part of the Fire Pro Wrestling series.
On top of that, there will also be a story mode where you can become a New Japan Pro Wrestler and aim to win the biggest prize of all. The International Wrestling Grand Prix! How cool is that!
Fire Pro Wrestling is an old school professional wrestling Japanese video game which started in 1989. It used to be developed by Human Entertainment but now its by Spike Chunsoft. The focus of the game is how you grapple your opponent with timed button presses and strategy. You can also customize your wrestling character on its appearance, moves and behavior. However, Fire Pro Wrestling is not licensed by WWE or any other pro wresting promotion. The characters may look like the real wrestlers but under different names. Most of the games from the Fire Pro Wrestling series are only released in Japan but there are some titles that have been released in North America. There are different types of game modes. Traditional death matches which has steel cages, barbed wire and landmines (Think of classic Terry Funk and Mick Foley matches minus the land mines of course), MMA rules and many more. Fire Pro Wrestling World will also be the first game in the series to have an online multiplayer with 4 players in a match.
