Bungie’s new expansion Forsaken will be out on 5 September (SGT) and introduces changes to existing parts of the game as well as brings in new stuff for players to enjoy.
Gun system
The biggest change is a new gun system. The new system will allow players the flexibility to equip any type of weapon in any slot. Typically shotguns and other heavy weapons are reserved for the “Power” slot. But Forsaken allows players to equip up to three shotguns at once. Sounds broken? Maybe, maybe not ah, need to wait and see. There will also be a new bow and arrow weapon and new supers for each class, so that’s something to get hyped about.
Gun stats
Forsaken will also be bringing back random stat rolls. This sounds like a return of the grind machine ah. Got a lousy gun? Sian sia, must farm again. So the most hardcore players will chase the best stats and drops while the casual player gets to be satisfied with what they have.
New story
Forsaken will take place in a new location in the Reef. Players will hunt down seven different Fallen barons. The story will culminate in a raid called the Dreaming City. The Dreaming City is actually a full endgame destination, with a raid inside of it. Siao liao, my favourite word, its time to call the clan again.
New mode
There will be a new 4v4 mode called Gambit. It combines PVE and PVP, pitting two teams against each other as they compete to be the first to kill computer-controller enemies, then to kill each other. Sounds like a crazy mode with tons of action going on. Each team will have an energy bank and compete to fill up that bank with motes of light. When the bank is full, a team will be able to summon a “prime evil” and invade the other team.
