Lineage W has officially updated the Siege ‘Kent Castle’ feature, opening up opportunities for “boundless wealth and fortune” for the Blood Pledge that seizes the throne.
On the morning of July 29, Lineage W officially rolled out the final and most important phase of the major “Will of The Crown” update. The highlight of this update is the launch of the Kent Castle Siege in the worlds of Aden and Pandora. This large-scale PvP event is considered a signature original feature of the Lineage series in general and Lineage W in particular.
A Fierce and Challenging Battle
The Kent Castle Siege will be an intense war that tests the strength of all Blood Pledges throughout the event. The Castle Siege takes place every Sunday, Siege Declaration registration opens at 20:00, and the battle officially begins at 21:00 (GMT+7) until the event ends.
The war involves two factions: the Defenders (holding the castle) and the Attackers. The attacking side must complete three objectives in order: demolishing the castle gate, destroying the Guard Tower, and seizing the Crown. In the final phase, after the Guard Tower collapses and the Crown drops, the battle enters its decisive stage. The Blood Pledge that claims the Crown and successfully holds it for 20 minutes without losing it will become the victor.
If the Crown keeps changing hands and the 20-minute timer is not completed, the faction holding the Crown at 21:50 when the event ends will win. Starting from the second siege onward, the defending Blood Pledge only needs to hold the Crown for 30 minutes to successfully defend and win early.
In the first siege, since no Blood Pledge has previously occupied the castle, the Artebalt family will be the default defenders, while all players will take on the role of attackers. Access to the Guard Tower will only be possible by defeating the Battle Master Artebalt. If no Blood Pledge secures the crown at the first siege, the Artebalt family will continue to own and defend the castle at the next siege.
Overwhelming Power and Boundless Wealth
The victors of this grueling battle will be richly rewarded with highly attractive benefits.
First, the winning faction will receive fixed siege event rewards at various tiers.
The Monarch who claims the castle for the first time will personally receive 1 Epic Armor Craft Recipe (Tradable). Members of the victorious Blood Pledge and their allied Blood Pledges will receive a Victory Spoils Box (Bound), which contains: 1 Epic Armor Craft Recipe (bound) or 1 Unique Armor Craft Recipe (bound), 10,000 Honor Coins, and 10,000,000 Adena.
All participating members of the Blood Pledge and Mercenaries will receive individual rewards including 5 Golden Eggs (Bound), 100 Chewy Meat, 5 Blood Pledge Insignia Enchant Scroll, and 10 Awakening Scroll (bound).
The winning faction will also enjoy enormous power and economic benefits through the right to manage Kent Castle for one week until the next siege. They can collect taxes from the territories under Kent, including Gludin, Kent, and the Talking Island. Taxes are collected from NPC shop transactions and the Exchange market. The system automatically gathers and stores this tax revenue in Kent’s treasury, which the ruling Blood Pledge can access. In addition, the occupying faction receives accumulated Diamonds and Adena for each server.
Support Features to Build Strength and Prepare for the Siege
Alongside the Kent Castle Siege, the July 29 update also brings several side activities to help factions prepare for the grand battle for the throne. These additions complement previous phases of the “Will of The Crown” roadmap — such as the Rift of the Void Dungeon, the Resplendent Golden Temple, and especially the new Adena-based economy — helping Lineage W players rapidly increase their power and prepare for the first siege.
One-way Cross-World Server Transfer is now available, allowing qualified Blood Pledges and individuals to move from Eva/Oren to Pandora/Aden ahead of the siege to consolidate forces. Intra-world server transfers will also reopen from 12:01 on August 1 to 00:00 on August 2 (GMT+7). Players will receive a free World Transfer Ticket and in-game gifts via mailbox after the July 29 maintenance. This is an important step forward, not only to consolidate forces but also to boost the server’s stats, thereby increasing the accumulated rewards and the Tax revenue for the faction that wins the castle siege.
The Tax Wagons raid event takes place every Saturday at 21:00 (GMT+7), giving both attacking and defending factions a final chance to gain resources. The wagon’s location is announced server-wide. Attackers can ambush and destroy it to loot Adena and Diamonds, while defenders protect it to complete the route and claim the benefits. This is also an early opportunity for both sides to weaken their opponents economically. If Kent Castle is still controlled by the Artebalt family, there will be no defending faction for the Tax Wagon, and all participating players will join the attacking side. Players whose Blood Pledges have not declared for the siege can still participate individually as Mercenaries. Their identity remains secret, and rewards are distributed to registered mercenaries after the siege ends.The number of daily Golden Eggs rewards has been increased, and the Adena obtained from opening them has been significantly boosted (up to 20 million Adena).
Claiming the Throne of Kent not only demonstrates the true power of a Blood Pledge but also leaves a mark of authority for every member of the victorious faction. New players can also quickly catch up thanks to the new Adena-based economy and the specialized growth path event, which helps them reach Level 55 within 7 days using growth support features such as the Main Quest Story Pass and Hero’s Growth Potion. This allows them to meet the Level 50 requirement and join the upcoming Castle Sieges as soon as possible.
