At 20:00 on the evening of August 2, the first Castle Siege of Lineage W took place at Kent Castle, with the participation of Blood Pledges from 24 servers across the two worlds of Aden and Pandora. This is a server-level event, so each server hosts its own Castle Siege involving all registered Blood Pledges on that server.
From this point, many moments unfolded that reflected the initial sense of unfamiliarity and exploration, the rapid adaptation, and the memorable highlights that became lasting memories for the Blood Pledge members who took part.
Players’ first discoveries of the Castle Siege mechanics
Even during the Siege Declaration registration phase and while waiting for the battle to begin, Blood Pledges already made some interesting early discoveries. Some players noticed that the castle gates could be attacked, so instead of waiting they tested the effect by hitting them hard. After a while of pouring out attacks, they realized the event had not yet started, so the gates were in an “invincible” state. Nevertheless, many players continued casting skills for fun while waiting, while others headed to the village to PK and spar, creating a lively atmosphere.

When the battle finally began, all participating warriors were teleported by the system to the assembly area outside Kent Castle. One rather surprising discovery was that the gates’ defensive strength was quite low—coordinated attacks for only about three minutes allowed the attacking Blood Pledges to quickly breach the first defensive line and pour inside.
However, the real challenge had only just begun. The defending force consisted of Artebalt clan soldiers, whose large numbers and superior combat power significantly slowed the attackers’ advance. Warriors who ventured too deep alone quickly took heavy damage and had to retreat to the battle line of their teammates. In particular, Artebalt Battle Master possessed overwhelming power, nearly defeating many players who tried to challenge this defending leader solo.
Players adapt and regain the initiative
After testing the strength of the defending warriors, Blood Pledge members quickly learned that they could not play the lone hero when fighting inside the castle courtyard. They immediately began coordinating their attacks.

First, the attacking forces formed a unified frontline to share damage from enemies and support one another in pushing the line forward. Solo actions were minimized, and anyone who broke formation paid the price by having to respawn and rejoin the fight. Thanks to the sequential numbering system of the Blood Pledge parties, the groups received clear assignments and could communicate tactics easily. On some servers, experienced leaders of the main attacking Blood Pledges directed the groups and assigned attack directions extremely smoothly.
This coordination reached its peak when the Guard Tower barrier was lowered. The forces had to split up—several parties stayed to finish off Artebalt Battle Master, some others beginning the assault on the Watchtower, while a number kept fighting to hold off the remaining Artebalt clan guards on the battlefield.
Unexpected developments during the Crown contest and interesting results
Following the proper sequence, after the Guard Tower was destroyed the Crown dropped right at its base, and a nearby Blood Pledge Monarch picked it up. This activated the Crown contest phase.

The Blood Pledge holding the Crown was moved into the Inner Hall of Kent Castle, while all other warriors not in the Crown obtained group were moved back outside the castle. The Crown holders then began setting up defensive lines on the castle courtyard, placing siege weapons to hold off the opponents’ movement.
Nearly all Blood Pledges that obtained the Crown in the first round successfully held it for 20 minutes and became the owners of Kent Castle on their respective servers. The Blood Pledges then entered the control panel to explore the benefits they would enjoy as castle lords, including the distribution of Diamonds and Adenas from the castle treasury.

Server Aden10 alone saw a distinctly different and exciting development. The Blood Pledges there fought fiercely, turning the siege into a grand PvP festival. Factions clashed continuously with one another instead of focusing on Artebalt Battle Master. When the siege time ended, no Blood Pledge had reached the Crown-seizing stage, so the Artebalt clan remained the castle owners and would serve as the defending side in the next weekly siege.

A promising start for the next weekly castle siege
Building on the discoveries and familiarization of the first week, the next major Kent Castle Siege, scheduled for 20:00 this coming Sunday evening, promises to be a better-prepared and more intense battle. The Blood Pledges that participated have now clearly understood the flow and mechanics of the fight at Kent Castle.
With the defending force consisting of actual player Blood Pledges instead of Artebalt clan NPCs (except on server Aden10), next time the attacking side will truly face dynamic and intelligent opponents. From here, tactics will be studied and combat ideas calculated more carefully. Everything points to an exciting showdown for Lineage W players. During that waiting period, the events taking place throughout the week are also attractive destinations for gamers, as they offer both activities to participate in and extra rewards to strengthen their characters in preparation for the upcoming Kent City Siege.
